You're laser focused on your mileage and times because you want to hit your goal on race day. Before you know it, training is consuming your life and you feel depleted.

Run + Ritual brings Ayurvedic philosophy and Yogic wisdom into the brief, unscheduled moments of your day—helping you nourish your body, calm your mind, and create rituals that support the whole you.

Run + Ritual is for marathon runners who want to:

  • Move beyond a training plan focused solely on weekly mileage and learn how to support the whole body—not just your running.
  • Recover faster after long runs and feel better in the days that follow.
  • Sleep through the night and wake up feeling restored.
  • Support your digestion when marathon training has your gut misbehaving.
  • Let go of shame and guilt around rest and understand why recovery is part of training.
  • Feel more motivated and excited about training without simply adding more miles.
  • Train with less effort and create more space in your life, so running doesn't consume you.
  • Feel the joy of running again, instead of being consumed by finish times—running because you want to, not because you should.
  • Feel more like yourself, rather than being defined by your results.
  • Build more intentional self-care habits that support you throughout training and beyond.

Hi, I'm Angie

Your Marathon Recovery Specialist

As I was approaching 50, I took a closer look at my habits. I was buying plenty of organic food, but much of it was processed, packed with gluten, and loaded with more sugar than I needed. I wasn't having digestive symptoms or trying to lose weight, but I knew I wanted a change—more protein, less sugar, and food that truly nourished me.

So, I changed how I was eating. I stopped buying bread, cookies, soda, or frozen pizzas—not because of strict rules, but because I learned what makes my body feel good. (And I still enjoy those things on occasion, because Ayurveda recognizes we’re human.)

Ayurveda taught me that food is medicine intended to nourish all the tissues in the body—and that everything we take in through our senses must be digested to maintain a sound mind and regulated emotions. It taught me to set boundaries to protect my energy, and that sleep hygiene is just as crucial as marathon training.

With 35+ marathons, five ultras, two Boston qualifiers, and over 1,200 hours of yoga teaching, I've spent years leading wellness workshops on sleep, digestion, and mindful running. Run + Ritual brings together my academic background and this ancient system of holistic health to help runners give recovery the same intention they give their training. Because being a strong runner requires giving your recovery the same respect you give your mileage.

What is Ayurveda?

Rooted in an ancient system of health, Ayurveda is simply the art of living in alignment with your body's natural rhythms.

Most runners are experts at pushing forward, hitting splits, and following structured training schedules. But standard plans stop where real recovery begins. Ayurveda teaches us how to slow down, digest our experiences, and restore our energy before depletion sets in.

Through practical, accessible daily practices, Ayurveda helps you bridge the gap between high performance and deep restoration—so you can run longer, recover smarter, and feel vibrant in your everyday life.
